Che Guevara (Gael García Bernal) and Alberto Granado (Rodrigo de la Serna) journey through the jungles of San Pedro, Peru to visit a leper colony. Much to the dismay of the staff, Che refuses to wear gloves when greeting the patients; disregarding the health risks that this action may cause in order to pay his respects to the ailing patients.
FILM SYNOPSIS:
In 1952, Ernesto Guevara (Gael García Bernal) and his friend Alberto Granado (Rodrigo de la Serna) take a motorcycle trip from Brazil to Peru. During their trip, they encounter wealth disparities between poor South Americans and the industrialists that seek to use them for their labor. Once they reach a leper colony in San Pedro, Ernesto’s perspective changes drastically as he does what he can to help those who have been outcasted.
