‘Baron Noir’ follows the political and judicial battles of Philippe Rickwaert, who is a mayor in the North of France and a member of the French Parliament. Between the two rounds of the presidential election, Rickwaert’s future collapses when his mentor, the candidate for the main left-wing party, sacrifices him to save his campaign. Determined to get back in the game, Rickwaert forges unlikely alliances throughout all spheres of society, from politicians to the criminal underworld.
